I’m on the mission to play every single game that Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation Studios) have ever released. This includes games they’ve developed, published and even licensed out to third party companies like Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots. This is a gargantuan challenge, covering hundreds of games that have released across five console generations. I contemplated a long time on where to even begin. But with War of the Monsters recently getting its well deserved port to PlayStation 5, I thought this 2000’s Sony classic would be a perfect start to this series.

War of the Monsters was a PS2 exclusive that originally launched back in 2003. It was developed by short lived first party studio, Incognito Entertainment. This was their third game, after 2001’s Twisted Metal Black & Twisted Metal Small Brawl. Does War of the Monsters hold up today? Is it still a classic? And should you play it?
