Who needs eyes when you can have spikes. Who needs anything at all when you can have spikes. Instead of giving this creature a good way to maintain itself I figured it would work better if it had to rely on eating other creatures to survive. That's really the only chance it has and it needs to be quick about it. At one point I think I managed to defeat basically all the other species.
