Here’s my completely serious review of Age of Mythology: Retold, the game that takes everything you loved about the original... and pretty much just reskins it. Because why innovate when you can slap on new textures, right? In this video, I’ll dive deep into how the nostalgia feels great until you realize the mechanics haven't aged as well as you thought. Can Zeus, Ra, and Odin save this remaster from becoming yet another age-old cash grab? Spoiler: they probably can't, but you'll still buy it. Because who needs modern gameplay when you have ancient myths? Also because, decades ago, you played Age of Empires once or twice and somehow picked THAT one over Starcraft.
