Looks like by "everyone else clear out the remaining mirelurks" they meant "Player 1, find the legendary glowing mirelurk and be killed 20 or so times." Bullet sponge enemies are quite a bit frustrating when you're already low on ammo, and still can't find a trader to buy any freakin' rounds from.
