Mid-roll ads have been plaguing my viewers for over a year, and it seemed like YouTube wasn't listening. I kept pressing and finally got results... hopefully. 😅

Here's exactly what YouTube Creator Support told me about the resolution:
"I did receive confirmation that the fix was 100% pushed by Wednesday. The issue they found had certain ads were being exceptionalized, regardless of the channel settings being set to disable video ads. The root has been considered to have been pinpointed, and those particular types of ads (which they suspect to be the culprit for the interruptions) should no longer be firing now once you've disabled ads in your video settings."
