77The 1990s were the peak time for video game advertising in comic books. Today, I'm looking Spider-Man #3 from 1990, written and drawn by Todd McFarlane for Marvel Comics. There's some really fun games in this issue! Enjoy!
It's always been fun to me to go through old comics or video game magazines and see the things advertised - sure, the main attraction for me is the video game ads, but everything from the old Sci-Fi book club, to mail order comic collecting services (Mile High Comics still going strong to this day!), to old Dungeons and Dragons supplements - it's all fascinating and fun.
