I Retired to Nauvis, Part 3 (unvoiced)
1At the end of Part 2, I had finished researching Train and Oil stuff,
but it became clear that expanding the starter base mining to cover
all of the local resources would help increase production nicely.
Off camera, I replaced the mining arrays with a more compact
arrangement of miners that allows slightly better packing, and
expanded them to cover all of the iron, copper, coal, and stone.
This included cutting down trees. I dealt with all of the trees and
rocks within the primary range of my radar (and added a third radar).
Next steps will be:
- Expand radar coverage and decide where to expand, to pick up a lot
more Iron, Copper, Coal, and Stone.
- Find and exploit Oil.
I had a very nice oil refinery blueprint, back in the day, but have
not been able to find it. Instead, I will be making use of the modular
refinery blueprints from the Master class by Nilaus.
