I wanted to make sure my Pokemon Emerald Trashlocke team was ready for the Elite Four, so I spent an hour on one of my streams using Thief to try and get a Poison Barb (which powers up my Seviper's Poison-type moves) and a Spell Tag (which powers up my Raticate's Shadow Ball, so that it can take on Phoebe's Pokemon if it needs to).

Pokemon Emerald Trashlocke is a romhack of Pokemon Emerald made by the YouTube user and Twitch streamer Pokemon Challenges. Its goal is to make Pokemon Emerald harder by limiting the player's options for Pokemon rather than by editing the teams of opposing trainers. Because my options are limited and bad, I decided to dedicate a couple streams before the finale to getting useful items such as the Poison Barb and Spell Tag. Not much interesting happened during these streams, except for a few close calls, but I figure I might as well document a bit of my suffering here for all who wish to see.
