I was given just two hours to try out Dying Light: The Beast, and wow, that was enough to confirm that this game is set to be the best in the entire series 🧟🔥. From the first minute, I felt like I was “at home,” with the dark and oppressive atmosphere of the original mixed with the parkour and brutal graphics of the sequel, achieving that perfect combination we’ve been asking for for years. The game quickly shows its fangs: I ran into a possessed old woman who jumps on other zombies, making it impossible to hit her with projectiles, hordes that could be blown to pieces with explosions, explosive enemies, and giant Zombies to take out using hand-to-hand combat🔫. There were also missions that reminded me that the most terrifying thing isn’t the infected, but human cruelty, when a deal for food ended in total disaster. Parkour shines when jumping between rooftops during the day and at night... well, at night it's still hell, with angry zombies chasing you relentlessly 🌑👀. The icing on the cake is the protagonist's new transformation, half-human and half-zombie, capable of eviscerating enemies with his bare hands. In short: blood, tension, and brutal freedom, all set to make it the best zombie experience on the market.
Its release is scheduled for September 19th, available for PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
