Yesterday I posted a video complaining about how Oculus keeps stating that the Rift is a seated Experience. This video explains how I would go about making a Standing 360 degree first person shooter Virtual Reality System. I have done a lot of research on how I would go about it. I have always wanted to be a VR developer ever sense I saw lawnmower man in the 90's. I am not a developer unfortunately. But I want to help. So I believe this is a cost effective way to do it and I really hope Oculus does it this way. I doubt they will for commercial version 1 unfortunately but one can dream. I'm sure lots of people have the same thoughts and feelings about this and I am sure lots of people have posted these ideas on forums already. I guess YouTube is my forum. This setup can be accomplished with the Sixense Stem but the Stem system is so expensive at the moment I fear no one is going to develop for it because no one is going to buy it. How many people want will spend $700 dollars just for VR hardware , plus a super computer? Oculus still hasn't talked about any control peripherals but apparently they are working on some. My ideas have got to be more cost effective than the Stem.
