i3-7100 vs A10-7890K w/ GTX 1060 - Rise of the Tomb Raider [PROPHET'S TOMB]

To conclude the i3-7100 vs A10-7890K CPU benchmarks series we follow the adventures of Lara once more in Rise of the Tomb Raider. We paired the CPUs with the GTX 1060 and explored the way up to the "Tomb of the Eternal Prophet" in the Syria mission at 1080p, very high settings with both DX11 and DX12 options.

As expected, the i3 has an edge over the A10, both processors showed better results with the DX11 API. In certain sections of the gameplay session the A10 had worse frame pacing as well.

A dedicated recording PC with a capture card was used to save the game footages and consequently no performance penalty was incurred on the reviewed systems. For convenience, games are installed on an external SSD and connected to the reviewed PC.
