i7 870 + GTX 970| Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War [OPEN BETA] 1080P 60FPS
This combo, which consisted of the first generation mainstream, LGA1156 socket Core i7 CPU, once retailed for $499 in 2009. Paired with the 2014 Geforce GTX 970, which was a great 1080p/mid end 1440p video card at the time. Settings, FPS, usage etc are shown in the beginning of the video and on the top left-hand corner.
This video was recorded using Nvidia Shadowplay at 40Mbps 60 fps. The game plays very smoothly despite the older CPU and only 8GB of RAM, but due to the 3.5 GB of fast RAM, i do not recommend going beyond Medium for Texture Quality to keep everything nice, smooth and stable. Everything else is fine at a mix of medium and low (mostly filters and such). 100% resolution scale was used in this footage.
System setup:
Core i7 870 @ stock speeds
ASUS P8P55D-E
Reference GTX 970 with custom 166% power limit BIOS and manual OC
8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM (9-9-9-24)
480GB boot SSD
1000GB game SSD
Windows 10 (2004)
AMD Adrenalin 20.9.1 WHQL driver
Thanks to Gamecastle for providing the CPU and motherboard for this test.
