Ib (Pt 3): Neo Escapes the Strange World, But is Unable to Save Garry
3[BLIND LET'S PLAY] - SPOILERS IN THE DESCRIPTION! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!
After the truth of Mary's identity was revealed, Neo, Ib and Garry are forced to subdue her before she could bring them any harm before moving on to a deeper part of the exhibit. Neo enters what appears to be a world that resembles something straight out of a child's sketchbook, and upon seeing this new location Neo knew in the pit of his gut that this would be the last area that would separate him from his final escape. He gets to work exploring the sketchbook world, solving all its puzzles and opening up any locked doors he comes across, until eventually he finds himself inside a toy box that possesses a key that would allow him to enter a house that would contain the path to his escape.
But as soon as he finds the key, Mary shows up having possession of Ib's rose. Mary offers Ib the chance to be given her rose back in exchange for Garry's rose. Garry agrees to Mary's terms and exhanges his rose with Ib's, before Mary runs off. Shortly after, they find a trail of blue rose petals littering the ground, and it doesn't take long at all for Neo and Ib to witness Garry collapse on the ground, but not before urging Ib to go on, promising he'll come running if she needs help.
Neo and Ib are now all alone with Mary, but when Neo finds a room hidden behind some vines Mary shows up again to attack him, agitated over Ib having entered the mysterious room. As Neo is chased further into it, it quickly becomes apparent why Mary wants Ib to leave the room: Mary's portrait is in it. Neo then proceeds to do the one thing he can do to save himself, and once Mary is vanquished he continues on to his ultimate destination, until he seemingly finds himself inside a darker version of the art exhibit he first arrived in with Ib's parents. It is here that Neo finds a path out of the nightmarish world he's been trapped in, although unfortunately for him and Ib there's nothing they can do at that point to save Garry...LINKS:
