If We Get ONE More Update... Please Let Us Have These Back
Amiibo costumes in Super Mario Maker for the Wii U were a lot of fun because you could design a level based on a character and then have the player be that character. With Mario Maker 2 for the Switch I have always thought that it was weird that they didn't bring these back. At first I didn't think that it would be a big deal but I have realized that it makes the game more empty than it needs to be. People could have made entire super worlds based on a character and have the player be that character. Some people have said that they might have taken them out because they didn't want to have to deal with the licensing fees of having some of the characters be amiibo costumes but for me I think that they should have just taken out some of those characters and maybe only had Nintendo characters be Amiibo costumes. I think that some of us also thought that since Nintendo added the Link costume to Mario Maker 2 that maybe that was why they got rid of Amiibo costumes and that we would get more costumes over time. However the only other power up that we got was the Mario Bros 2 mushroom so in the end we can only turn into Link and the Mario Bros 2 version of characters. I know that they said that Mario Maker 2 was done with updates but they did randomly add that ninji speedrun so I'm hoping that maybe someday we could see amiibo costumes again but sadly I don't think that is going to happen. If we ever get anymore updates for this game though I am going to be hoping for this one because I don't see them doing anything else major with this game if they were to add another update.
