iFive High Quality Rockchip Tablets - iFive Mini3 & F313 Hands On
high quality rockchip tablets http://www.mobilegeeks.com iFive is a aiming to be the top of the pile when it comes to tier 2 brands out of China. The iFive Mini3 and F313 are both running the RK3188 Quad core processor with a quad core GPU the Mali 400 mp4 1Gb or RAM w/ Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. They may not have the best specifications around but what they offer is excellent build and decent specifications that are "good enough" for most people. The Rockchip 3188 processor is on par with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 which is top of the pile.
The iFive Mini 3 is a 7.85 inch tablet with a display resolution of 1024 x 768 making it 4:3 like the iPad along side full viewing angle IPS display. It is a very 6.5mm thin and weights in at 290 grams even though it has a 4100mAp battery which should give it 6.5HR of wifi off videoplay back or 4 hours of web browsing. Connectivity wise we've got wifi but no high end features like Bluetooth or NFC, it does offer micro USB. It's cameras are good enough, but won't be winning any contests with 5MP and 2MP on the front. It should cost around $100 USD which is crazy for such a well built device.
The iFive F313 is a 10.1" tablet with the same RK3188 processor with 2GB or RAM, it's display offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and it's only 6.9mm thin weighting 540 grams. Under the hood we've got a 7400mAp battery offering 7hr of wifi off video playback or 5hrs of web browsing. This until does come with Bluetooth 3.0 as well as a MicroSD card with a light sensor, magnetic sensor, gyroscope and 3 axis g sensor. This unit is a little more pricy at $150 USD.
So far iFive only sells into China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, though we hope for your sake that they make it to the US and Europe. We did hear about one reseller out of France that buys 50 pieces at a time, though we couldn't find out who. If you have to have one, there is a lead for you.
