🇺🇸 Poder Brasil | São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) jokingly said on Monday (October 6, 2025) that he will start to worry when "they start counterfeiting Coca-Cola." The statement was made to journalists while reviewing measures to mitigate the crisis of methanol-contaminated beverages.

The Ministry of Health reported on Monday (October 6) that Brazil has 217 suspected cases of methanol poisoning after drinking alcohol. There are 17 confirmed cases and 200 under investigation. There are two confirmed deaths in São Paulo and 12 are under investigation.
