There's a very SPECIFIC reason we haven't seen any short hedgies imprisoned so far, its due to an 'immunity' gained from 'donating' to political parties. However, this immunity doesn't last forever.
Bernie Madoff thought he was immune, Sam Bankman-Fried thought he was immune, and even Jordan Belfort thought he was immune, but they all ended up slipping up at some point and getting caught.
They were all arrested and all 'donations' were returned.
We are therefore waiting for these shorts to slip up, get caught for it, and end up being arrested.
