Oh man, it's a 20-year-old game and it's still so nice to play it. And wow, Moguri Mod is so damn good for Final Fantasy IX

I'm currently in the part where we'll go to the Earth Shrine and break the seal before Disc 4's story (If I remember correctly). Zidane is with Quina while the rest of the team deals with other Shrines. Then I took the opportunity to grind on Grand Dragons with Quina's Lv5 Death - since it's just us two, the exp gain is higher. "Why not grind and just kill the other 2 members?" - I just got Orichalcon from the boss before breaking the seal which gives +speed stats when Zidane levels up, so this point is actually good for grinding and gaining higher Speed. Below is my equipment set from when I started level grinding, for those who are wondering

Now fighting against Ozma, just be sure to finish the very easy friendly monster side quests. Then for the preparation, it's better to have your levels divisible by 4 so that Ozma uses Lv4 Holy, this is just so Ozma wastes a turn and reduces the chance of Meteor being cast (since there are more available moves in its move pool). Then the Chimera Armlet with Pumice Piece is kinda debatable, I just kept it there so that Holy wouldn't heal me so my HP gets lower and it feels like Doomsday gets cast more frequently.
Pumice Piece keeps us safe from Doomsday's damage, but that still heals us so... yeah... I think Chimera Armlet is not really needed here lmao. Then for the abilities go activate Auto-Haste because you don't want to lag behind Ozma's turns; Auto-Reflect for the Berserk Immune; Auto-Life and Auto-Regen and ignore any healing action and focus on dishing damage; Antibody and Clear-Headed to counter Curse (it will still deal damage but at least it won't stop you from acting). With that said, the only thing to worry about now is the RNG of Meteor, Flare Star, and the damage from Curse - this is where Auto-Life comes in

If you have a full party I suggest Freya's Dragon Crest, Quina's Frog Drop, Steiner's Shock, and Zidane's Thievery. Just put Auto-Haste, Auto-Reflect, Auto-Life, Auto-Regen, Antibody, and Clear-Headed then don't bother healing and just use everyone's best moves and you can defeat Ozma in at least 6 turns
