The Imo state off cycle Governorship election may have come and gone but the outcome has continued to generate reactions from interested parties and other Nigerians.

This is as the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC was on Thursday besieged by supporters of the Labour party to register their grievances over alleged irregularities that characterised the conduct of the poll.

Addressing their concerns to the INEC leadership, the National Treasurer, of the Labour Party, Oluchi Opara raised several concerns including alleged upload of results in polling units where election did not hold.

Responding on behalf of the electoral body, National Commissioner, Alkali Abubakar who was was on ground to received the protesters urged the party to document it's petition for thorough review by the commission.

Recall, NEC had declared Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress as winner of the election with 540,308, votes while Samuel Anyanwu of the Peoples Democratic Party came a distant second with a total of 71,503 votes. and Athan Achonu of the Labour Party polled 64,081 votes to come third in the election.
