Use these tools in Stream Elements OBS Live to improve your microphone sound quality and help to reduce background noises. This video will demonstrate the filters and settings I use. My hope is that it would provide a template for you to build from. Let me know in the comments if you have more specific questions.

to recap, check your mic input and sound volume, use the + to add filters in OBS, add Noise Gate, Compression, and noise suppression. See video for filter specifics.
