In Rays of the Light - Game Review
8Hello and welcome to my review of In Rays of the Light!
This is a game that was recently released by Sometimes You for consoles and PC. It is a first person adventure/thriller/suspense game that is very much in the style of a walking simulator. There aren't a ton of objectives to do, and none of them are every actively told to you outright. You have to explore this area that you're in and figure out what to do and what's going on. I typically like to play these kinds of games, but I never go out of my way to find them. I occassionally look in the store for new releases, and it's always cool when something like this game pops up because it almost always catches my eye, and I love playing these shorter indie games, and specifically the walking simulator types. I'm not sure if it's quite fair to classify it as that, but it's a tough one to classify and place into a genre. It's certainly a lot creepier and scarier than it might look though, and it has some very impressive visuals and creative choices towards the end of the game that I loved.
