The Inquest into the death of a Gurkha who died eighteen months after being wounded in Afghanistan has heard he suffered the worst tissue injuries of any surviving soldier.

Rifleman Sachin Limbu was on a routine patrol in Helmand when he was caught by an improvised explosive device.

One doctor who treated him said it was down to his "great stoicism" that he lived so long.
