Inside Out 2 is a 2024 American animated coming-of-age film produced by Pixar Animation Studios.This is the long awaited sequel to Inside Out (2015) and it was directed by Kelsey Mann.
This sequel is everything we hoped for and more! From the hilarious “puberty alarm” in Headquarters to Anxiety’s chaotic takeover, and the emotional odyssey to rebuild Riley’s Sense of Self… Inside Out 2 delivers big laughs, tear-worthy moments, and important life lessons about growing up. The movie also surprised us with new emotional characters (Anxiety, Embarrassment, Envy, Ennui) while balancing the original core emotions like Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger.
After a "puberty alarm" disrupts the balance at Headquarters, Riley’s core emotions are pushed aside by newcomers: Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Embarrassment, Envy, and Ennui. As Riley faces pressure to fit in and redefine herself, her Sense of Self gets tossed — literally. Now Joy and the rest must journey through Riley’s inner world to restore balance before she loses who she is entirely.
Once again Pixar gave us an incredibly beautiful film with a lot of heart that was not only entertaining and endearing but also relatable.
