Heal selection plugins on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (and its based distributions e.g Linux Mint) or higher is a bit tricky. Installing gimp-plugin-registry from repository or downloading the compiled version won't change anything.

GIMP heal selection missing issue is still there. This happened because the tool depends on certain packages which aren't available in Ubuntu due to gtk2 being removed.

That's why I made this GIMP tutorial especially for beginners who are just learning the basic things.
