Flathub is a build & distribution service for Flatpak apps. Flatpak is a new format for distributing desktop apps on Linux distributions.

Flathub integrates into the Gnome Software center and allows users to install Flatpak apps just like any other desktop application. Gnome Software also shows the software source inline so it is easy to see if you are installing a Flatpak or not.

Flatpak is a modern distribution format for desktop applications on modern Linux distributions. It is designed to securely package up the application in a distribution agnostic way so that it can be installed and used on any Linux distro that supports Flatpaks.
