StockNinja is reporting that institutions hold 115% of AMC or 589m shares, considering that retail owns 90%, that makes 205% of the AMC float owned, or just over 1b shares!!
Now while this might sound like a glitch, TD Ameritrade is also reporting the float of AMC to be 1b shares as well, maybe an extra 500m AMC synthetics are being reported!
I think a number of institutions are now reporting the true number of shares they hold to ensure they receive their APE dividend (which has obviously not been given to institutions yet, as they only hold 5% of APE).
Therefore, many institutions are now reporting the TRUE numbers, exposing the synthetics for all to see.
