Intel Backporting Confirmed & Return to Tick-Tock 2 Year Cadence | Plundervolt Vulnerability Reveal
Intel had a new processor roadmap revealed at an IEDM event, and it clearly shows that they are looking at not only backporting but also a return to a two year tick-tock cadence. 10nm+++, anyone?
We also have a 3D Mark benchmark for the i5 10600 which confirms the existence of hyperthreading (or HTT) on this CPU.
In less good news, a new security vulnerability by the name of Plundervolt has been discovered, and it is one of the more severe security holes on Intel CPUs at present.
There's also a new PS5 patent, which shows that Sony has a shared controller scheme planned for the next generation console.
Finally, Phil Spencer has hinted at what the official name of the Xbox Scarlett will be... which will probably cover both Project Lockhart and Project Anaconda.
