"No Return" by Interactive is a classic electronic track released in 1997. Known for its high-energy beats and captivating trance vibes, the track became a staple of the late '90s progressive house and trance scenes.
Interactive was a German electronic music group founded in 1990 by Jens Lissat and Ramon Zenker, later joined by vocalist Marc Innocent and producer Andreas Schneider. The duo of Zenker and Lissat first gained attention in 1990 with their track "Techno Wave."
While creating the track "No Control," they began collaborating with vocalist Marc Innocent (Markus Geutner), who provided vocals for some songs. In 1991, they joined the wave of major hits that began with the release of "James Brown is Dead" by L.A. Style.
When they released the track featuring samples from Elvis Presley's song titled "WHO IS ELVIS ?", it became a massive hit (reaching 12th place on the German charts, among others) and achieved gold status with sales exceeding 400,000 maxi singles. It can be said that with "WHO IS ELVIS ?," they achieved both national and international breakthroughs, boasting one of the first purely techno productions to chart in several countries.

"Who Is Elvis" and subsequent tracks were characterized by containing only one repeated line of text, such as "DILDO," "AMOK," OR "WIND UP & DOWN." All the group's early successes were compiled in 1993 as part of the compilation "The Best Of Interactive."
In 1994, there were some changes: Ramon Zenker decided to focus on studio work, while Marc "Innocent" became the "face" representing the group daily. Andreas Schneider, who had previously collaborated with Zenker as Perplexer, also joined the band.
In this lineup, the group recorded what is perhaps their biggest hit,
"FOREVER YOUNG" which went gold in Germany and Australia, among other countries. This cover of Alphaville's classic became a hit in many countries.

Other hits included "TELL ME WHEN" & "LIVING WITHOUT YOUR LOVE," which featured samples from "Alive and Kicking" by Simple Minds.
The group then attempted to replicate their success using the same idea, releasing "THE SUN ALWAYS SHINES ON TV" a cover of the A-ha song, but the track did not achieve the same success.
Several other singles followed, including "NO RETURN" However, the attempt to adapt to the rapidly evolving electronic music scene of the time (from rave, happy hardcore, Eurodance, and various forms of house) that was gradually heading toward the groundbreaking moment of trance music's emergence and redefinition was not entirely successful for the team.
Finally, after 2000, Ramon officially announced the temporary suspension of the project.
Their last released work was the single "FANATIC" from 1998.
OF COURSE, THIS DOESN'T MEAN THE MEMBERS STOPPED THERE.
RAMON ZENKER would soon be behind the massive hit Bellini's "Samba de Janeiro," and later co-create major projects like PAFFENDORF and FRAGMA.
Not to mention his collaborations with big names such as Mike Oldfield, Paul van Dyk, The Shamen, Scooter, Mylene Farmer, Jam & Spoon, Depeche Mode, Yello, New Order, York, Moguai, and many others.
Additionally, in 2002, KOSMONOVA brilliantly remixed their version of "Forever Young."
