The Retron 5 [3 in 1] was designed purely for the Retron 5 console which is basically just emulation for use with original cartridges that you physically already own.

The Retron 5 [3 in 1] is made for Sega Master System Game Cards, Sega Master System Cartridges AND Sega Game Gear games to be played on the Retron 5 console. HOWEVER! In this video I am using a Sega Megadrive model 2 (a.k.a. Sega Genesis model 2).

It's no secret that Sega Master System games work with the Retron 5 [3 in 1] in the original Megadrive/Genesis 2 consoles...But what about the Sega Gamegear games? Let's see what happens when I insert a Sega Gamegear cartridge into my Retron 5 [3 in 1] cartridge, and try to play the games on my Sega Megadrive model 2 (a.k.a. Sega Genesis model 2).
