We talked a bit more about autonomous vehicles today, then a quick overview of the midterm next week, then moved on to learning programming.
There's only a few basic tools in computer science, and between today and the next lecture we'll learn them all. The real challenge in computer science is learning how to break down complicated problems and put together solutions for them piece by piece.
This class uses Scratch to teach introductory programming (we might do Python later on if people are interested) and so today we went over the basics of Scratch, which revolves around writing programs for different "Sprites" in the world that can do different things and interact with each other.
