AAA FPS companies and publishers like EA, Activision, and Microsoft have long dominated the gaming industry. Master Chief and Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield... these are all really big names we can think of and know a lot about.

However, something is clearly amiss with the AAA gaming world. And we've all noticed it. But, FPS gaming seems to be at an all-time decline. Nobody thinks of Halo, Battlefield, and Call of Duty the same way anymore.

So, is AAA FPS gaming actually dying? Is it slowly being replaced by something else? Or are we just growing up and moving on from these sorts of games?
