They're still making money, releasing new products regularly, and generally have a high customer satisfaction
Given their tight control over everything and with cultural cache, they act like a monopoly
Apple has no true competition (which would be its equal in most respects)
It's not that apple's failing on its own so much as the rest of the industry is still bumbling around
If there is a decline, it'll play out slowly with their abundance of resources
Tim doesn’t need to step aside, but he does need to bring in new blood, new talent
Tim needs to bring in a Scott Forestall, a Matias Duarte, a Tony Murray
Tim needs to re-watch old Steve Jobs videos, recognizing he is not Steve nor will lead the company like Steve
The alternative is that the apple faithful begin to leave
