I quickly found that the first kill for the Megabeast is effectively the tutorial - not only is the Forest Slums a much more difficult starting area (managed to avoid it this run!), but the game overall becomes a whole lot harder (not to mention more expansive) as parts of the Megabeast had rained down to wreak further havoc on Earth.

Here I find that my third Megabeast kill unlocks a whole new, much harder area and a new boss as well. Luckily I had a ridiculously powerful charge shot thanks to Big Bolts, as well as a generous amount of invincibility due to Celestial Charge.
