Finally started picking up shards at this point - the game is so big and there's so many side areas to get distracted with, that I could imagine revealing most of the map before getting my first shard. Those first two bosses are really good - super tough & action packed with a lot of room for parries.

With Asana in particular you get an early glimpse at how having some of the extra weapons really helps for boss fights. I think the most basic loadout would involve using the shuriken to bring fire in from the sides, but with the fire sword I can just walk up and deliver the fire directly.

I had some controller issues early on and had to move from my Switch Pro controller to the Dual Shock 4. I figured out later on that I had too many devices drawing power on that USB port - that's what I get for moving things around willy nilly.
