On July 2, 2020, Byron Reckful Bernstein passed away due to suicide. Reckful was one of the many faces of streaming on Twitch, and in the later years of his career, was very open about his struggle with his diagnosed depression and Bipolar. This video talks about Reckful's contribution to mental health awareness on Twitch and the greater live streaming community, as well as my personal journey through mental health struggles, and how Byron's transparency helped me cope, alongside Dr. Alok Kanojia of HealthyGamerGG, a mental health organization with resources on dealing with depression, anxiety, and video game addiction for gamers. This is also a call to action for gamers to make a difference in their community by assessing their contribution to only toxicity and reforming their behavior.
