It's wrong to keep secrets but you'd better not tell anyone about this! (MoTU: Revelation #1 review)
We take a look at the Masters of the Universe: Revelation comic that leads into the show. We also discuss the weird inconsistencies that keep popping up. Kevin Smith does more backpedaling, this time claiming the show is not a sequel to the 80s cartoon despite the show being billed that way from the beginning. On top of that, a clip from 2013 surfaced of Smith admitting he isn't a fan of He-man on camera. As if there wasn't enough evidence already that he's been twofaced about all of this. But Smith isn't the only one that's causing us to question things. The director of Revelation, Ted Biaselli, made some weird comments too. He claimed that MoTU fans can't handle new characters being added and it would take time for us to accept them because apparently he forgot that MoTU adds characters quite often. They even added a twin sister for He-man and gave her a spin off show with new characters to follow. Maybe this guy can't handle new characters, but that's on him more than anyone else.
As for the comic itself, it really hammers in the importance of keeping a secret identity while simultaneously trying to shame Adam for keeping a secret so that's kind of weird but OK.
