Masters of the Universe Bait and Switch (MotU Revelation Episode 1 Review)
1,774Masters of the Universe Revelation premiered and it was everything we hoped it wouldn't be. Not only does it not respect the source material, it doesn't match it's own continuity by ignoring things that happened in the tie in prequel comic. On top of that, they only released one issue before the show premiered even though that didn't make sense.
The show itself is a mess. Characters do things for the sake of the plot and things mostly happen for shock value. It ends up feeling forced in the end. It's plain to see that this team wasn't the right fit for Masters of the Universe as it ends up coming off as their head canons and edgy fanfiction instead more of the show from the 80s like we were promised. Hopefully the next series will be better. But at least we still have the original and 200x reboot to fall back on.
