IF I send a text message, Dr. Garrett wants posts where I don't proclaim what I SUSPECT as a fact. Instead of an "emotional tsunami" he wants grounded in reality emails. So that's precisely what I'll compose.
It's been two and a half years since I broke up with my ex-girlfriend. Now I'm not sure if we were officially dating or not. However, it was very difficult for me to get over it because I loved her. Some people say the delusions were anger over feeling betrayed by getting broken up with.
Regardless, thanks to being back in psychiatric medications and doing the hard work in recovery - I'm ready to find love and move on too. I've finally accepted it's over.
On that note, don't react to my parents when they try to push my buttons. Things are going so well for me. I've been in hell for over two years. But progress is happening.
I have a date today. I don't know if I will like her or not. But it's a date. There's another woman I'm in the friend zone with. I have a few male buddies too.
It's going to get better and already has. Remember 7 years ago, I'd be so happy with where I am now. Yes, a lot more progress needs to be made. But also, think of how far I've come.
