It is with incredible excitement that I finally get to announce Vengeful Spirit, my latest album! This is an album I've been developing for more than two years and has seen many ups and downs to finally be ready to release. It contains thirty songs, split among seven different sections, each with a specific theme in mind. The whole album is designed as if it were a Video Game soundtrack I had composed the music for solely, not as part of a collaborative effort. The story I designed is similar in structure to UNDERTALE, and some cues have been taken, like the leitmotif based writing, but each song was an original idea that fit in with a story I had written.
Something I didn't mention in the video was that I will be doing a live stream on release day that will essentially be a listening party and discussing what each song's meaning is and what function it serves in the story. Whether that ruins the album or not, I'm sure you would all like to know my thought process. It will surely be a long stream as I go through an hour and fifteen minutes of music in excrutiating detail, but if you would like to hear the story of the game, tune into my Live Stream channel, @alphastormlive, on December 12th.
Also get excited for four music videos in the lead up to the album's release, specifically for the title track Vengeful Spirit, Blood Son, Aspirations, and Dark Heart, in that order, on Monday and Wednesday for the next two weeks. They're just a smidge more cinematic than I usually do, that's for sure, but I figure those were some of the strongest songs. And some of the others I particularly like (The Factory, The Cemetery, Metallic Clanking, among a couple others) will be done in the more traditional cover style I usually do for my videos. Get excited, there's a lot to come!
