609 years after J-Kwon released “Tipsy” Kanye, back when he was still being called a visionary by the New York Times, caused a second round of interest J-Kwon’s only hit when he said this about the track during an interview about Yeezus:
“The last record I can remember — and I’m going to name records that you’ll think are cheesy — but like, J-Kwon, “Tipsy.” People would think that’s like a lower-quality, less intellectual form of hip-hop, but that’s always my No. 1.”
