Before Jack Black became a household name with his breakout role in High Fidelity (2000), he was in a long-term relationship with comedian and actress Laura Kightlinger. The couple met in 1996 and were together for nearly a decade, even co-starring in the 2001 comedy Shallow Hal. Their relationship was well-known among those in the industry, with the Farrelly brothers even mentioning them in the film’s director’s commentary.

However, after nearly ten years together, Black and Kightlinger called it quits in 2005. Just a year later, Jack Black found love again—this time with a former high school classmate. During an interview on The Howard Stern Show, Black revealed that while he had known her back in school, she hadn't shown much interest in him at the time. However, she later confessed that she had secretly liked him all along.

Their rekindled connection quickly turned into something serious. By 2006, the couple married and soon welcomed their first child, marking the beginning of a lasting relationship. While his romance with Kightlinger was his first high-profile love, Jack Black ultimately found his happily-ever-after with someone from his past—proving that sometimes, love comes full circle.
