Jagged Alliance 2 is the … everybody knows what JA2 is, let me tell you about 1.13mod instead. 1.13 mod adds a lot to the game it modern resolutions, rebalancing, features. See below on how to install it:

Download the mod from here and follow the instructions:

once installed make sure to change JA2.exe is running in compatibility mode with Windows XP SP3, and 16-bit color mode.
In the INI Editor.exe set play Intro to FALSE.

After I installed the mod, it was running at a very low fps, so here is the solution that I found:

this is the version of wined3d.exe that worked for me:
http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/download.savannah.gnu.org/releases//wined3d/1.1.38/

I’m using windows 8.1, things might be different on other OS.
