Jak 3: Part 5: Precursor Crap & Leaper Racing
After outracing Kleiver on his bet, King Daman saw more use out of Jak thanks to his driving skills.
He now had him and Daxter go back out into the desert to pick up some artifacts that were revealed from the stormed sands, and they had to do this before another powerful storm swallows them whole.
Truly, no matter what game he was in, Daxter could not escape from having to put up with Precursor crap.
----------
Get to reach artifact within their time limits, but you also have to worry about marauders driving and shooting at you with their own cars.
You still can't fight back against them with the Tough Puppy, so you'll just have to outpace them and hopefully not get rolled by them too much.
----------
Going back to the garage, Damas started to care about Jak's well-being for managed to outrun the storm, or rather... well-being for the artifacts Jak found.
The last of those artifacts were a Precursor Armor set of Bracers. Apparently, those Bracers originally belongs to Mar, but now Damas is letting Jak keep them for the battles ahead.
There are 4 pieces of Precursor Armor that you'll get throughout the game, and they will each add two blips to Jak's health.
----------
The Dark Eco Duo meets up with those Precursor Monks again in Spargus City. The leader of them, the one they've talked with before, is named Seem.
Seem and the other Monks swore themselves in as guardians of the Precursors and their secrets. They are the main owners and tamers of the Leaper Lizards.
Seem challenged Jak to a Leaper race against the other Monks. If Jak wins, he will earn a Light Eco Crystal, but if he loses, Seem takes back the Dark Eco Crystal Jak got from that Dark Satellite.
----------
Just for this mission only, Leaper Lizards are much faster than usual. It feels like they're breaking the sound barrier as running past any citizen or smaller animal will just have you knock them down!
Go through all of the rings you see while staying in 1st Place until you hit a red ring. Just be careful not to stay to close to the other racers, because you'll bump into them and slow you down.
----------
For winning the race, Seem gives up the Light Eco Crystal to Jak, but still did not trust Jak to be the world's hero. Why?
A shining violet light in the sky known as the Day Star was approaching closer and closer to the planet. Seem saw that star as the beginning of the world's end...
