This is what I was intending on posting yesterday...I got the file names mixed up....there is a cut in there because I was intending on pulling the first bit out because I played a bit from shine on....this is just a jam where I was searching for new bits....it is a bit of a mess but new ideas don't come easy...I had already written the parting of the clouds and through the morning skies before i wake....a lot of my playing comes from from frustration here because I go back to those ones i had written as well as things i did before like practice pink floyd guitar lines...i did manage to move on and write new things after this and playing through this frustrating period helped me re focus

I took a bit of a break and I actually did lose a few of the bad habits I had between 2006/2008, in the loops there are about 3 or 4(if not more) in that period where I resort to playing the same melodic guitar line by the ending whether it be Major or Minor, the melody became an annoyance to my ears...this was a transitional performance even though I myself do not think I achieved anything...my habits had already annoyed me and this was a change of tact where my habits became all the more prominent, I had written enough to create 2 or 3 albums before this but I knew I could write better stuff than I had previously, and I did .

I am not fond of this myself but it is a step I had to take to move on to write better stuff, after this I went out of my way to find new chords and different ways to play at the given situation, and by new chords I mean chords that I did not know of...I am mostly self taught...a bit stubborn really, I was taught the basic chords from a former band member, the off the fret board A B C D E F G...after that I even decided not to use tuition books or anything...however when we met up in the studio a few years after splitting up I was teaching him chords...I had found a bunch of nice sounding chords, he was more into the plain jane D chord for instance when I was more into finding a D/G chord....he actually said that sounded out of tune so I had to check if it was a legit chord...its legit :)
