JAS-39 GRIPEN R/C JET CRASH + Landing Gear Collapse ✈️ Doodoo Flying!
34I crashed the Gripen yet again... The poor thing is truly on a bad streak!!
In the two flights shown here, first I had a landing mishap where the nose landing gear collapsed despite being a relatively soft landing.
Then the next flight, right after repairs, I slammed it hard into the tall reeds at the end of the field... this was obviously a case of pilot mistake, but it pretty much happened as a consequence of a damaged EDF rotor, causing the jet to struggle to produce thrust even at full throttle, which left me with little margin to maneuver.
So you could say that I failed twice, first in terms of maintenance responsibility, then in making bad piloting choices (flying aggressive maneuvers too low, perfectly knowing there was an issue with the EDF rotor). I probably wasn't having my best day either, so take that as you may... don't make the same mistakes! :')
The jet is repairable but I haven't got to it just yet. We'll see how it turns out!
