Jennifer Lopez always knew that Ben Affleck was 'the one': 'Love of my life'
1Jennifer Lopez claims she didn't intend to reconcile with husband Ben Affleck when they broke off their engagement in 2004.
Jennifer remarked on Australia's Kyle and Jackie O Radio Show Thursday: "I fell in love with the love of my life [earlier in life], and for whatever reasons that we needed to grow and do other things," she added.
The Mother star commented on how the couple moved on to establish their lives apart, but said that she always thought the Batman Vs Superman actor was "the one."
"We both went off and had children with other people and other relationships, but you know in my mind I kind of had it like, 'Oh, that was kind of the one.'"
She explained: "I was like, 'I'm good on my own, I'm fine, I love my life.'" And when you get to that point, I believe the world opened up to me and said, 'OK now you're ready.'"
The couple, who started dating in 2002, rekindled their romance in 2021 and married in 2022.
Following their breakup in 2004, Jennifer Lopez married Marc Anthony, with whom she had twins Max and Emme. The couple ended their relationship in 2014.
Ben Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2008 and divorced in 2018. The couple has two kids, Violet (18) and Seraphina (15).
