It took me a while to start up this game despite liking Curse of the Moon so much. To some degree I was just busy, but I also had the lingering curiosity how this game would surpass the first after it was so incredibly good.

So far I'm finding it a good bit harder and I'm wondering how much of it is just the extra bottomless pits and extremely long runbacks from each checkpoint. The bosses are a good bit harder as well - there seems to be way more time where you need to wait for a chance to attack the boss. The only boss that subverts that to some degree is Titankhamun, a boss which kind of has the Monster Hunter Khezu problem -- you certainly can hit the boss pretty often, but it's extremely unsafe to do so unless you take a bunch of time to address surrounding threats first.

Also, strange how Gremory kind of just reappears as a late-game regular boss but there isn't much to it, and it isn't explained at all.
