Leaving the first of the major cities and then immediately ambushed by hungry bandits! While I managed to fight 'em off, everyone had to spend a ton of time recovering. Afterwards, we spent a bunch of time getting the second base set up, and successfully managed to do some farming (albeit, super slow and lossy thanks to low farming skill). Now that I'm getting settled in, I'm almost in a good enough spot to set out on some proper adventures.
