I'm so glad to be back to the original crew. The new characters are cool and interesting, but Miriam, Alfred, and Gebel are so much more straightforward. I noticed that there were some changes this time around - Alfred gets weapon energy when hitting with his Buster Rod, and Gebel gets health when hitting an enemy in bat form. That ended up being super helpful at a few points throughout the run. I've overall been using way more weapon energy than I did in the original game and it's really paying off considering how much harder this game is.
