Now we all know what Jigglypuff can do in this event with Rest; nearly everyone cleared The Showdown for the first time with Jigglypuff and Rest (I actually didn't know the potency of Rest at the time, so I cleared it first with Kirby Stone spam). So to make this a bit more interesting, I cleared the event with no stock loss, while also never using Rest, nor inducing self-destructs.

Even without Rest, Jigglypuff is really good at The Showdown. She can wall Giga Bowser all day with her Wall of Pain, and kill around 100% with her awesome forward smash. She can easily keep Mewtwo and Ganondorf out with her aerials, and avoid getting overwhelmed easily. The only real big flaw with Jigglypuff here is that it takes just a stiff breeze to kill her, especially vertically. Fortunately, since throws in Melee deal the same knockback to everyone ignoring weight, Jigglypuff can take Dark Dives to over 150%, as long as you don't DI it up. Lack of c-stick is also a real pain here, since it makes using bairs and uairs with Jigglypuff more complicated than it should be.

At one point I accidentally hit the c-stick, and tried to fiddle around with it to get it back to neutral, though apparently you have to wait some time before it will go back to neutral. Fucking seriously, how did they think making the c-stick a camera control in the single player mode was a good idea? It nearly cost me this great run, and it just adds fake difficulty to Melee's single player modes.
